Lambo On Water
Italy → San Diego Bay
A $4.5M Lamborghini yacht shows up in San Diego Bay.
In 2020 Ace Rogers ordered a Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63, a limited-run carbon-fiber superboat built by The Italian Sea Group in partnership with Automobili Lamborghini. He picked the details and finishes himself and flew to Italy during the build.
About two years later it crossed from Italy to the West Coast. Local outlets reported it as the second Lamborghini yacht in the United States and the only one on the West Coast. The maiden run from Los Angeles to San Diego had a minor hiccup, but the boat made it without damage.
The specs read like a supercar's: Alcantara, a lot of carbon fiber, twin 2,000 HP MAN V12 biturbo diesels, and a top speed over 60 knots. It weighs roughly 24 tons, which is light for 63 feet.
He named it Aspen & Delilah, after his three-legged dog and his daughter, and had the name engraved on the hull.
“For me, a boat's a boat, a car is a car. I base my love on happiness.”
